Here we go again!!
Rules are all the same as before: 100 books and 1 year to read them all. You can look here http://nerdfighters.ning.com/forum/topics/100-book-challenge-2011-1 if you want more guidelines.
Last year I pretty much gave up at 10 books because I fell really behind on schoolwork and such, but this year I'm sticking with it! I hope you are all up for it as well!
:D Good luck and DFTBA!

Permalink Reply by Emma Middleton on January 4, 2013 at 3:17am Does anybody have any suggestions? For instance, heres some of the books that I really want to read in the next year:
Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
The Rights of Man by Tom Paine
The Social Contract by Jean Jaques Rousseau
The Wisdom of the Desert by Thomas Merton
Le comte de Monte-Cristo by Dumas
Permalink Reply by Hans P. Bremer on January 4, 2013 at 10:03am Hesse is ALWAYS good, but there are better than Siddhartha. Beneath The Wheel, Rosshalde, Demian, etc. are all masterful. Burgess is great too, but I never liked A Clockwork Orange, I was more for Enderby's escapades. Merton is Merton, and should be read by anyone interested in contemplation, meditation and the big R. If you end up liking Dumas, read The Club Dumas by Arturo Perez Reverte. Amazing book.
Permalink Reply by Sarah Grace on January 7, 2013 at 2:44pm I suggest The Book Thief!! That book is quite possibly my favorite book of all time. That should definetly be on your list if you haven't read it before. :)
