11th Doctor Revealed

The next doctor was revealed as Matt Smith only a few hours ago during an episode of Doctor Who Confidential on BBC 1. I'm sure by now it's all over the net too!
This might be primarily aimed at UK NFs, but I was wondering - any thoughts on him? Personally I quite like him, but we've still got a year to wait to see him in action!

Permalink Reply by Gianna on January 3, 2009 at 12:50pm: I have never head of him, but just after watching his interview on BBC's YouTube page, I think he looks promising. Sadly, I have not seen the old series, but off of what I have seen, I don't think he will be better than David Tennant. I do think he will bring something new to the role, in a positive way. I'm excited to see what the next season will be like.

Permalink Reply by hannahbanana on January 3, 2009 at 12:56pm: Yeah I'd never heard of him either! I saw him in The Ruby In The Smoke, playing Jim, but that's all I've seen of him. DT certainly raised the bar pretty high - will be hard to fill his boots methinks.
Also, he has to grow some eyebrows: where are they?! :P

Well actually, in America, if you go "my favourite TV show is Doctor Who," people go, "who's in it?" and then I go, "David Tennant," and then they'll go, "Who?" and I'll have to go, "Barty Crouch Jr." and then they'll go, "EW!" It's quite annoying.

She was my first new friend this year, and I just started high school. All of my old friends just think it's some weird thing. ~~Americans~~ The people I know are very close-minded.
