nanowrimo

Any nerd fighters doing nanowrimo?

I'm doing it for the first time this year... anyone have any tips

Also! Don't be afraid to skip over trouble spots and come back to them later. I think I remember that I wrote the ending to my story within the first week, which helped me build up to that early on.; ▶ Reply to This

I'm doing NaNo (in case that wasn't obvious already), and the best advice I can give is keep going. I know, horribly lame, but it really is the best.
Also, pay attention to the emails, they help a lot. Listen to the podcast and hang out on the site when you're feeling down. Write through the blocks. If there's one thing I learned from NaNo it's that writer's block doesn't exist. So even on the horrible days, pound out SOMETHING. You can edit them out later.
Oh, and ingest lots of caffeine, and savor the late nights.
