Nerdfighters

Is anyone out there taking part in NANO this year?

For the uneducated out there, NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. It's November- you begin after midnight on Halloween and type or scribble madly until midnight on the 30th, upload the typed manuscript for word count verification, and if it's over 49,999 words, you've won!

What you do next with said 50,000+ is up to you.

But no matter how busy you are, it's worth a shot. I didn't finish it my first year, and I LOVE the manuscript that I came up with. It's full of ideas, it's waiting to be reworked, and I really think it has a chance of being something great. I won last year.

^_^

If you ARE registered with NaNo, feel free to friend me!

I've also got another forum that I belong to that's a bunch of writers... we got about seven of us putting our novels up togeather in the forum for mutual support... I think that's one of the things that helped me across the finish line. It's here:

Ooh that could be interesting. That doesn't sound as scary.
Last year that idea i had wasn't solid enough for 50,000 words and ended up as a short story.
Don't mind if i steal your idea?
Works for me!

Maybe you could do 5 10,000 word short short novellas or long short stories. ^_^
I'm nanoing for the first time this year. Hopefully, my story will be made of awesome and somewhere over 49,000 words.
I'm a Wrimo! My name on there is TalonRiley. Friend me if you feel so inclined. And check out my novel synopsis and tell me what you think. =]
I'm doing it this year... Bit anxious. I was going to do it last year, but it sort of fell through. Haha. Anyway, friending!

Good luck!

...To all of us. *ominous*

;)
I don't know if you really can anwser this but do you think that me being in 10th grade I should go through the k-12 site or the adult (above 13) site?
Yes I am def. above 13. I just can't decide, The Young Writers site looked cool, but I don't know?!?

Do you like type onto the site? Or can you type onto word and then like copy paste it to the site? (microsoft word has a word count?)
I'm in tenth grade and I'm using the adult site. I have a lot of friends who are doing it on there as well. Besides, I do Nano to read other people's work too and I'd really much rather read more mature writing than some kid's. :D
I'm nanoing this year as well!

It's my second year and while I did finish last year about five days early, this year should be interesting...

Good luck to everyone!
I'm so excited, I'm Nanoing again this year!! It will be my second year and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my first year doing Nano. I'm nervous, but excited, although I don't think I'll finish. It's going to be a busy November anyway; we're going home to see my parents for Thanksgiving, and I also have to think about knitting Christmas presents. It's gonna be crazy, but I guess I should at least try to write.
I'm taking part, for the first time... I'm really excited! 50,000 words sounds like a terrible amount, but it's always worth a shot ^^

My ideas are still stuck on the idea phase, but I trust them to figure themselves out in time.
Oooh! I'm doing it! I'm a first-timer too, and since I hardly write(but would like to) I fear I may not win, but as long as I write at leas 10,000 words I'll be happy. :) *friends op*
