Anyway, I thought we synnies could kind of... compare here? you know, you can just say whatever you want, if you think that C is green or that Lucy's purple, just.. comment ^^)

lol What are you talking about? Flippersidianfubba is a dark green name, mottled with blue; Tapiaparschingelak is a bright orangey-yellow name; and Drovvobalbagondh is a dark purpley-blue, but not black, name. Although Baniyargiebumdadad is a blue name. :P

The story I'm working on right now is a pale blue-grey color while the story I plan on working on next is a deeper shade of blue and the story after that is yellow. But not sunshine yellow or sick yellow, more like the yellow of old street lamps in a scary, dark alley yellow.

A Mango-Shaped Space was so good! It made me cry. Like, actually cry. xD Which is weird because for most of the book I hated the character (I can't remember her name right now. :( ). But then I cried at the end. I really enjoyed the part where she met all of the other synnies because I could relate to some of them more than I could to her (I don't have sound-color with most sounds).

My family went to lunch today with another family in our church and I am now fairly certain that my sister and my father are at least a little synesthetic. My sister moreso than my dad. I'd asked my brother what color the number two was when I learned about synesthesia and today while there was a lull in the kids' table conversation he said "What color is seven?" I said green of course, and my sister said red. Which is gross, a red seven would be like icky cough syrup and it's just wrong. We went through the whole alphabet arguing about what color different letters and words were, but my sis was the only one who ever said "No, it's always seemed that way to me, I think it's this color" so she's the only one I can be sure about. My brother asked if the number 7 and the word seven have to be the same color and for me it is but for my sister it isn't, so that was interesting. Afterward, I told my dad about the conversation and he asked me what color seven is. I told him it's green and he laughed and said "No, it's orange" and said that he didn't think most numbers had colors but seven had always seemed orange to him while 3 was green and 1 was red or something. (For me 3 is yellow and 1 is blue.)

I'm pretty happy right now. Even if their colors are gross. xD
