I love Tamora Pierce! She's been my favorite author for about the past 10 years. It's kind of crazy, but I'm still in love with her books (particularly the Tortall ones).

I'm also a big fan of Margaret Atwood, though her style of unconvering what's really going on in the story through flashbacks gets a little old after a while. But that's okay, because her books are all very different from each other.

Madeline L'Engle is a total comfort read, but I'm actually not a big fan of her Time Quartet - I much prefer the Vicky Austin books or the stand-alones.
Omg TP is my favorite author! I love her style and the one she can start off with a series about 10 year olds and morph into s/t about 18 year olds that matures as it goes (circle series). I love her newest series, beka cooper, too. She is seriously my idol. What's you favorite chracter/ series. I love the immortals series.
Anne rice All the way. Blood And Gold in your pants! :)

and J.K. Rolling. Sorcerer's Stone in my pants!^.~

If anyone knows some good fantisy books please post it in my compents with the author. I've gotten bored and I don't know who else to ask! x.x; HELP ME FELLOW NERD FIGHTERS! PLEASE!!
Tough question.
C.S. Lewis, Robert Holdstock, Alice Hoffman, Paul Stewart, Diana Wynne Jones, John Steinbeck, Robin Mckinley, Anette Curtis Clause.

I could go on for a few pages.
George Orwell.
=]
Sarah Dessen hands down.
Sophie Kinsella, Mariah Fredrickson, Kurt Vonnegut and John Green. If I could get nothing but their books for all of my life I would be content.
Hmmm... this is a hard one. Leonard Cohen (The Favourite Game), Robert Jordan(The Wheel of Time), Neil Gaiman(Stardust, Neverwhere), Jacqueline Carey(Kushiels Dart), David Eddings (The Belgariad), Charles Dickens (Oliver Twist), Frank Herbert (Dune), Elizabeth Hayden (Rhapsody), Orson Scott Card (Enders Game, Enchanted), Chuck Palahniuck(Sp?) (Fight Club), Tatsuhiko Takimoto (Welcome to the NHK). There's more probably but those were the ones that came to mind.
Dune is love. :)
Dean R. Koontz...he is amazing...his stories are so original and suspensful...

This is probablly cliche but I really enjoy JKRowling(go hp) but I mean she's sooo detailed in her writing and adds almost everything I want to know(with exceptions of the last book)...

I love them both...
tamora pierce and jk rowling no question about it!!!!
