(Nah, probably a reptile: a giant snake, or crocodile, or dragon. That is, if I could choose. I'd probably end up with either a bird or a reptile, or something large and scary, because characteristically I'm fierce.)

I'm going to go with a giraffe on this one. Though now that I think on it, I'm not sure what could possibly be frightened away by a tall, spindly creature that can barely run in a straight line without toppling over ... maybe a unicorn foal?
