Twilight-- am i the only one who doesnt like??

I just really think that the plots are not well thaught out and that Meyer simply just cant write ( has anyone else notised that she tries to use big word but they dont end up making any sence( its actually rather funny)
I know that ill probably get like hazed for saying this but does any one agree?

I'm on the fence about Twilight. I think that Meyer's writing style is too juvenile. So unless your a thirteen year old girl it can be a little dull.(no offence to 13 year old girls) And some of the characters (Bella in particular) can really get on my nerves. I agree that the plot isn't well thought out. The books seem to go on forever without the plot moving very much. I think the idea of behind twilight is brilliant but maybe in the hands of someone else it could be totally great. Or maybe if she had given herself more time they would be better. Even though I'm not totally in love with the series I want to read the next one. Once I start something I HAVE to finish it. So I need to know how it all ends. Is that weird?

Nah, that's not weird. I don't watch TV anymore because once I start a show I HAVE to watch it to the end. I marathon viewings of the box sets instead XD

I haven't read the series yet, but I have been hearing lots about it lately (both positive and negative) and there is one thing that bothers me.

If a vampire is not allergic to sunlight, and doesn't have fangs of any kind, doesn't that mean that technically they're not a vampire? I mean, there are lots of different variations on vampires but there have always been two things in common and that's the sunlight/fangs thing. So wouldn't that mean that technically these aren't vampires but rather undead/immortal creatures that simply survive on blood? *shrugs*

I feel vampire isnt a true vampire unless it has the fangs and allergic to sunlight(I dont mind if they have a way around the rule as long as they are allergic if they dont wear the thing that would allow them out in the day), well thats what I think.

yeah, when you think vampire you picture pale guy who can't live in the sun and has fangs.

Well he's not allergic to the sun but he can't go out in it without attracting attention to himself. And I'm not sure about the fangs. I kinda like that its not the stereotypical vampire. The witches and wizards in Harry Potter arn't exactly how you picture a typical witch or wizard either.

well, technically they are still vampires, just not the stereotypical vampires you see in books and movies and that one ad thats on the side of the forum.
And Vampires aren't really allergic to the sun, but the sun does affect them.
And does a vampire really need fangs? The Cullens don't need them because when they were turned into a vampire, every part of them was strengthened-including their teeth. And what's the whole point of having fangs when you can have normal teeth so powerful then can bite through iron as if it were butter?
Anyways, saying that they aren't vampires because they don't have fangs or because they're not allergic to the sunlight is like saying the HP characters aren't witches and wizards because they don't have green skin.
