Nerdfighters

Okay, so I like to write. I'm not particularly good at it, but I've been on a roll on my story lately. My question today is:
What is the hardest part of writing for you?
My problem is usually self-criticism. When I read back what I wrote all of a sudden I feel like my ideas are unoriginal, my characters are unbelievable, and my writing style sounds exactly like whomever it is I've been reading lately.

EDIT: I'd like to direct everyone here to read this discussion and let me know what you think, or if you'd like to be a part of it.

The hardest part for me, is that my mind moves faster, than I write! By the time I write one thought down I have 5 more in my head, it makes it hard to get it all down without forgetting anything, that was really great!

I have the same problem most of the times.

i feel like my ideas get unoriginal too.
it's hard to find a way to write a story that you don't think sounds like another

Everyone always tell me I should write but my ideas can never evolve beyond a cool concept or background details. Maybe if I co-wrote something...

I have that problem sometimes. Mostly when I have a dream that inspires something. I'll have a world in my head, but no main characters or no plot. And that just doesn't work...

I have that pretty much constantly. Great but broad ideas that don't focus down very well.

I actually can't ever finish ANYTHING unless it's for a grade. It's weird.

the hardest part for me is my mind not running in chronological order, like there are bits and peices of the story all floating in my mind but none of them seem to be in the right order because i dont want to write the borring filler bits

The hardest part for me is finding time to write and to create quality writing. If I feel rushed or if I feel like I have to write, it comes out crappy.

Yeah, I hate feeling rushed, but on the other hand, it's good for me to have the motivation to just make a decision about what's happening. Cause otherwise I can spend forever arguing with myself about this persons feelings, or that scene, or how would she say this that won't sound ridiculously cheesy...
I have honestly spent days trying to decide on the name for my main character, and I'm still not satisfied!

Ugh! I agree! Getting character names takes me so long! Titles are also hard for me!

I thought of another hard part for me: picking a genre. There are so many differnet things I love to write about and it's so hard to pick one!

I always steal my character names from people I like. For instance, I have a story and my three main characters' names are Jessalyn, Tristan and Isaac. Isaac came from Heroes, Tristan came from Tristan and Isolde and Jessalyn came from behindthename.com where they have a random name generator. You know what's funny? I was thinking about this last night. Like, this exact same topic.
