Wonderful book! The ending surprised me a lot. Definently a must read!
Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko. It's a Russian supernatural series that deals with the theme of weather the ways of Light are truly good and the ways of Dark are truly evil, and the line that must be drawn in order to protect the world from itself. I just finished it today and really enjoyed it.
Definitely seconded. I read it a while ago, but I remember loving it to no end.
The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2007 edited by Dave Eggers with an introduction by Sufjan Stevens.

:)

Or "After Dark" by Haruki Murakami. Hell, anything by aruki Murakami.
The Book Theif - Mark Zusak ( One of the best books ever!!)
I highly recommend Dune and its sequels (At least the first two). If you haven't ever read it, but you managed to see some of the scifi special movies about it then done let them fool you. Books > Movies.

Besides Dune I should probably push any and all Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game was great). OH, and Terry Pratchett.
Martyn Pig by Kevin Brooks

it may be YA lit, but it's awesome. Creepy. But awesome.

DO IT HANK!! DO IT NOW!!
Pictures of Hollis Woods.

'People of the Book', by Geraldine Brooks is pretty awesome.
'Rumo and his Miraculous Adventures' is also awesome, but a bit weird at the same time. It depends what you're looking for.
Bloody Jack by L.A. Meyer!
