For a character that lives it would have to be Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby. I really don't know why I liked him, but I was drawn to him all the way through the book, even if the central focus was Gatsby.
Then, for a character that died - Severus Snape. No more to be said. ;-)
Oh, God. Only one? That's like...torture! How am I supposed to choose one character? I've read well over 200 books in the last 4 or 5 years! Oh God...
Now I can't think of one. and half of my book shelf is blocked, the shelf with the books by my favorite author, too!
Briar, and Numair, and Neil, and Tristen, and Lucas, and Ethan...
One's 14, one's too old, the other is...I think he's actually almost just right. the other is dead. then the next one I don't know well enough...and then the next one is dead as well. Bah poop.
I go with Ethan, from Burned by Ellen Hopkins.
Wait, no, I go with Neil. No...Okay I'll go with Ethan since he's just so...amazing.

Permalink Reply by Vanessa Lazarus on August 4, 2011 at 5:09am Oh, now thats tough. Until a week ago I would have said Jace from the Mortal Instruments series, or the Doctor from Doctor Who (the tenth doctor that is, or possibly eleventh).
But now I would choose Peeta from the Hunger Games.
Sir Bardon from the Dragon Keeper Chronicles by Donita K Paul.
He calls his wife "lady of mine"

Permalink Reply by M.J. Campbell on August 5, 2011 at 10:10pm Ron Weasley, I didn't even have to think about it.
I fall in love with a new fictional character everyday, but I've had a crush on Ron since I was six.
