people who actually wanted to learn music, otherwise it ends up as an easy lesson which you can mess around in, which doesn't sound fun.

Philosophy or physics to (preferably gifted) middle schoolers. I like that they are old enough to at least partially understand it and young enough that they would listen to me. And that they probably wouldn't pick a class about it for an easy way out because at least physics doesn't sound easy.
