New Secret Project: 1,000,000 views on July 18, 2008

I know there are many of you who tuned into the Vlog Brothers, like I did, because of Accio Deathly Hallows. It was an amazing song, and an amazing video, and it was what brought most of us together as nerdfighters.

July 18th, 2008 is Accio Deathly Hallow's one year anniversary, and I have thought of a great way for the nerdfighters to commemorate it. On that day, every nerdfighter who has the time will view that video as many times as we can in an attempt to bring it up to 1,000,000 views. After all the hard work they have put in, I think the brothers deserve their first million viewed video.

If you would like, feel free to start giving it some extra views now or at any time up to that date, but make sure that on July 18th you view it as many times as you can!

If you plan to participate, just make a post here saying you're in. Also, why don't you share how you got into Brotherhood 2.0 and the Vlogbrothers.

UPDATE: Thanks to Nerdfighter Ciaran Chelloveck, who posted a link which reveals what constitutes as a view on youtube. I'll post what its said here so you guys all know.

Every time you open the link (or refresh it), its counted as a view. So even if you watch it for 2 seconds, it will still be counted as a view. Don't forget, the view number doesn't update right away, so your views are still being counted even if the number doesnt seem to be going up.

how much of the vid do you have to watch for it to count as a view on Youtube?

If you watch slightly over half of the vid, does youtube count it? 'cause then we could get to a million a lot faster...; ▶ Reply to This
