I love Eva Ibbotson, she has so many great books. They do run kind of young, but who says you have to be 12 to enjoy a children's book?

The Sea Faeries by L Frank Baum (he wrote the Wizard of Oz series)
Changing Planes by Ursula K LeGuin
the authors are popular but those books don't get enough recognition

Also, anything by Patricia C Wrede or Vivian Vande Velde those authors are brilliant

Burned by Ellen Hopkins
Its prolly one of the saddest books I've ever read but its really good. Plus, its written in poem form which is pretty cool.

I <3 Ellen Hopkins!
I found Burned in Barnes and Noble like two years ago and bought it. And loved it. And cried a lot.
She actually came to my school last year. It was crazy. Nobody else had heard of her, and I was like, hyperventilating.

Ellen Hopkins is a gifted writer, I just finished her book Burned yesterday and I couldn't help but cry at the end.
Now I'm reading crank, but I think the best of Ellen Hopkins that I've read is probably Identical, such a twisted story!

What I Was- Meg Rosoff
I find this book so desperately sad, and I'm not sure why!
I think its because after all the struggling the person who he fell in love with, just wasn't really that person.
I don't know.. read it!
Its amazing :)

The Alison Rules by Catherine Clark, I think?
I'm not honestly sure.
I was in a bookstore and I bought it, only because I knew I'd go through hell trying to find it anywhere else.
It broke my heart into a thousand pieces. I cried for years over it. I absolutley loved it.
Then I lent it to my friend two years ago, who then proceeded to lose it.
But it still lives in my heart. And I think it would be the greatest movie ever. But sadly, that will never happen, because nobody who I've ever met has read it, unless they borrowed it from me.
