Am I the only one?? I keep seeing tons of forums on this stuff and I am just wondering if I am really missing out on anything.

I haven't read it. I feel like it's after my time. Harry Potter is more my generation in terms of fantasy. Don't be ashamed of it. It's ok that you haven't read it!

ps my girlfriend watched the movie on a plane and was so bored she had to turn it off. she was literally more entertained by staring out of the window for 3 hours...
i havent read it ahaha
and i dont really think i want to :o
DO NOT READ EVER IF YOU ENJOY GOOD WRITING.
I second this opinion.
I read them all and I think they are poorly written but at least mildly entertaining.
They do kinda put back feminism about a hundred years though. And Edward shows a lot of the classic signs of an abusive boyfriend, just without the violence.
OH MY GOD ITS SO GOOD! I went to Forks. Its such a good book. DISCLAIMER::: just so you know, Stephenie Meyer (the author) didn't write when she wrote Twilight, so its not that good (its is AMAZING tho), but the writing in Breaking Dawn (the 4th one) is AWESOME! I hope you read them and like them. There are a lot of Twilight fans out there, every age, and, surprisingly, a bunch of guys ;D
you shouldn't feel bad about it! the books aren't that good!
girls just like them because they have a night-in-shining-armor/ badboy/ forbidden love to swoon over.
i have read it, but waayyyy before there was even talk of the movie and all this Twilight fanatic stuff. I like the book but nao it's just anoying becasue everyone is so obsessed with it. Edward or Jacob?! IT DRIVES ME NUTS!! If you would like to read it, read it. It's a good book, but just try not to turn into one of those people who can only think of subjects that are about Edward or Jacob.
No, wanna be friends?
You should read the book, so you can make a repeat thread and rage about it like everyone else...
I read the first book, and threw the second away when I finished the first chapter.

I mean, I guess you can read it and see what it's all about. If you're doing 50 books in a year or something, you could add it to the list. But honestly, you're not missing out on anything.
Do Not Read Twilight.*

Those four words are equal to the most incredible advice you'll ever receive.
:)

*I'm not saying it's a bad series, it isn't--I've read and owned them all, but you get so attached to them if you actually like them that it's not even worth reading. I was literally obsessed with them and my friends kept bugging me to borrow them, and I cried when I finally lent Twilight out. It's sucks. Don't fall into the whirlpool.
