Nerdfighters

I don't want a whole song, or a whole verse for that matter. I just want that one line that you fell in love with. The one you wait to hear.

Mine would probably be from "What Sarah Said" by Death Cab For Cutie:
"And it came to me then, that every plan is a tiny prayer to father in time."

"Should my tender heart be broken I will cry those teardrops knowing I will be just fine Cause nothing changes who I am" from Who I am by Jessica Andrews

"Sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsy But I've got friends that love me And they know just where I stand" from the same song as above

I couldn't pick between these two. :)

I love that movie!

"But what was normal in the evening, by the morning seems insane." (Lua by Bright Eyes)

"Forbidden snowflake, beware this troubled world." (The Picture by Placebo)

"Where can a dead man go? The question with an answer only dead men know, but I’m going to bet they never really feel at home if they spent a lifetime learning how to live in Rome." (Nickel Creek)

"If you can't see thin air, then what the hell is in your way?" (Modest Mouse)

"I found a better way to get even with my memory" (We've Had Enough by Alkaline Trio)

(I actually collect lyrics--I have like 300 pages of lyrics. I also take snippets out of my favorite lyrics, and I have about 12 pages of my favorite snippets; you will not believe how long it took me to narrow it down to these five--I tried to pick the ones with the most meaning to me).

OMG why did I never think to make a list!? THANK YOU!!

I do the same thing, but I always try remember them, instead of writing them down ^_^

I am so making a list now...
I've got a great quote book (family & friends)
but lyrics are so jokes!

I love that line (you stole it! =P). That song is amazing as well. Death Cab ftw

I have many...I love lyrics, so I have dozens of favorites. I'll share a few.

"On the floor, at the great divide, with my shirt tucked in and my shoes untied, I am crying in the bathroom." - Sufjan Stevens, Casimir Pulaski Day

"I'm not living, I'm just killing time..." Radiohead, True Love Waits

"Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day?" Train, Drops of Jupiter

"Whats that writing on your everything?" Modest Mouse, Gravity Rides Everything

"I think I'm cured. No in fact, I'm sure. Thank you stranger for your therapeutic smile." Bright Eyes, Bowl of Oranges

"If everything could ever be this real forever, if anything could ever be this good again...the only thing I'll ever ask of you, you've got to promise not to stop when I say when" Foo Fighters, Everlong

*Happy Dance* I LOVE Drops of Jupiter.

"...and head back to the Milky Way? And tell me, did Venus blow your mind? Was is everything you wanted to find? And did you miss me while you're looking for yourself out there? Can you imagine no love, pride, deep fried chicken, your best friend allways sticking up for you, even when I know you're wrong? Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance, five hour phone conversations, the best soy latte you ever had, and me?" (Boo-ya! Still remember it after, like, 10 years!).

Because of that song, I secretly wanted to be an astronaut or astronomer--but then I realized I get motion sick easily, and I am horrid at math.

Edit: Modest Mouse > awesome.

Oh, man. There's way too many songs. D: It's terrible how indecisive I am.

Indecisive *sigh*

"Hallelujah" by Paramore:
"Some how everything's gonna fall right into place, if we only had a way to make it all fall faster everyday."

"You Can Do Better Than Me" by Death Cab For Cutie
"You can do better than me, but I can't do better than you."

"Good With You" by L.P.
"But you, with your innocence, you break through my defense."

"Don't you know, you're like Pete Best? Bitter after all these years...just let it go." Your Love is Like Las Vegas by The Thrills (I mention them a whole lot!)

"So I start a revolution from my bed, cause the brains you said I had went to my head. Step outisde cause summertime's in bloom...step up beside the fire place, take that look from off your face! You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out...So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as she's walking on by. Her soul slides away...but 'don't look back in anger', i heard you say." Don't look back in anger by Oasis

Those are probably my two favorites...
