I was kinda curious as to what kinds of books (or whatever else, I suppose) you all have been reading. So..

What are you reading right now?
How are you liking it?
What are your thoughts?

I'm about two-thirds through Circle the Soul Softly, by Davida Wills Hurwin. It's the third book of hers that I've read in two days, and I'm really liking it (fairly obviously, I suppose). It's really interesting--it's about a pretty 'normal' girl (whatever that means) named Katie whose father died in the recent past; her mom just got remarried, and the whole family moved, and now Katie is uncovering memories of having been molested as a child, and she has to come to terms with her past and her father's memory.. it's kind of about figuring out who you are, and what makes people who they are, whether an action can define a person.. anyway it's really good. Highly recommended :)

So what words have you been taking in?

Um, does my foot become detached from my body? Because I would DEFINITELY follow through on a foot-swear if that were the punishment for failing to do so.

I'm reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams at the moment.
It has to be one of the funniest books I've ever read, I highly recommend it!

I'm currently reading the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison. It's so funny. So far (from this moment), I'm on the 7th book out of 9 total, so far. And for my English class, I'm reading Into the Wild.

Reading the Lenee trilogy by Martin McDonagh. Three darkly comic plays... about Ireland? Score.

Next up is An Abundance of Katherines and Eugene Ionesco's The Bald Soprano.

Have you read The Pillowman? It's another McDonagh. Very dark, but very very good.

Ionesco pwns.

Pillowman is the reason I'm reading the Lenees! My friend lent it to me a couple of months ago, and I've read it maybe eight times since then. It's incredibly deep and wonderful... I'm still trying to figure it out.

Seen In Bruges? McDonagh's film debut - genius.

We're still reading 1984 in English. It is awesome.

I think I'm reading something on my own now, but I don't remember what.

I'm starting The Handmaid's Tale soon...

Currently, I am reading The Kite Runner.
Indeed, it is an amazing book. I have cried several times already.
Hosseini's diction is amazing. The imagery gives me chills.
It is a brilliant book, nonetheless.

We read that in English last year. Half the class ended up crying. It's an amazing book.
