I was kinda curious as to what kinds of books (or whatever else, I suppose) you all have been reading. So..

What are you reading right now?
How are you liking it?
What are your thoughts?

I'm about two-thirds through Circle the Soul Softly, by Davida Wills Hurwin. It's the third book of hers that I've read in two days, and I'm really liking it (fairly obviously, I suppose). It's really interesting--it's about a pretty 'normal' girl (whatever that means) named Katie whose father died in the recent past; her mom just got remarried, and the whole family moved, and now Katie is uncovering memories of having been molested as a child, and she has to come to terms with her past and her father's memory.. it's kind of about figuring out who you are, and what makes people who they are, whether an action can define a person.. anyway it's really good. Highly recommended :)

So what words have you been taking in?

I'm reading Oryx & Crake, by Margaret Atwood. I'm only about fifty pages in, but so far I'm really liking it. Dystopian societies ftw!

Finally, a new book!
I haven't started it yet as I just finished my last book (Chuck Klosterman IV) but I'm going to start The Professor and The Madman (A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of The Oxford English Dictionary)

So there's the English language aspect (which I love), insanity (which I love to read about), and murder (which I love to read about).

i just finished fahrenheit 451 by ray bradbury for 8th grade english class (we have a book list and have to do a report every 3 weeks) and i absolutely loved it.

the central themes are kind of scary, like the idea that firemen in the future will burn books, but the entire story is enlightening and really makes you think. i highly recommend it!!!

Well, I'm reading many books.

My main book: Paper Towns (I know, I'm the only nerdfighter who hasn't read it, but I'm nearly done!!)
My never-actually-get-around-to-because-it-is-huge book: Breaking Dawn
My book-for-school: Diary of Anne Frank
My humanities-honors-for-school book: Milkweed by...um...I forget...

Yes I was!

If you like The Diary of Ann Frank try The book thief by Marc Z. It's a fictional story set in natzi Germany but told from the side of a German girl. It is AWESOME!!

Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. i haven't gotten that far into it yet, but so far it seems really...mysterious.

An Abundance of Katherines by * " " *
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by You Should Know Who (I hope you don't think it's my first time reading it)
The Other Side of the River by Alex Kotlowitz
There Are No Children Here by Alex Kotlowitz (just finished)
The Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
The Pretties by Scott Westerfeld (not really by favourite series)
My biology book. x-x

I'm currently reading The Catcher in the Rye I love this book and have read it a countless number of times, I was sad so I picked it up, because it's a book I read when I'm sad. I am kind of in love with Holden Caulfield and through this entire book I want to give him a hug and talk to him and listen to his ideas but sadly I can't because he is fictional.
