Nerdfighters

Yes, the title pretty much speaks for itself but,

Being the Nerds we are, I believe we have all been obsessed with an amount of books, Harry potter, Twilight, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and the list could go on for AGES.

My question is obviously 'Which book was the first book you fell completely in love with?'

My first bookcrush was Stravaganza (the whole serie) by Mary Hoffman.
It's about normal people that travel through time and space at night when they go to sleep to... Kind'f an another dimensions Italy centuries ago, called Talia ^^)

I think I read it first at the age of.. 11, 12 maybe?

Now I wanna hear yours! Go ahead! ^^D

Harry Potter since age 10 and still now (haha)

I started to read Harry Potter when I was about 8 years old, I guess, and I was totally obsessed about it. In a way I still am but not to much like back then :)

I think Twilight was probably the first series I became obsessed with. I am not a fan of the movies, but I did enjoy the books quite a bit. And, first book, I think was To Kill a Mockingbird.

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke,

that book transfixed me. It could put me in a universe where I could be put in a book that I read! I've read it every Summer since 2005

I love that book! I wanted to be a Silvertongue so badly...

it's all I wished about forever, I still read aloud on my own.

Reading out loud is the best! I read parts of "Hound of the Baskervilles" to one of my friends b/c I was reading while we were hanging out, and I felt like sharing.

I was completely obsessed with Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfourtunate Events when I was younger. :)

First one was probably Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy followed by Sabriel by Garth Nix as i managed to pick up a signed copy of it and it was a fantastic series.

I read a lot when I was a kid but I didn't get obsessed with any book until I was 14 and read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It kind of opened my eyes to such intelligent writing I had never seen before. After that came many Terry Pratchett books and then I got John Green's books...

The Count Of Monte Cristo

My father used to read us the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. They were amazing, and there are now about 30 of them. They were my first real obsession, and I will still look back sometimes and relive my favorite scenes and characters. If I were to look back and pin point one series that was the biggest influence on my later writing and reading career it would be those books. I would recommend them to any parent looking to read decent fantasy books to their kids, girls or guys!
