So, I did something odd today.

I invited friends on a playdate (for my kids) via Haiku. There are times when I use random poetry in e-mail. Today, I realized I hadn't done Haiku since (*ahem*) elementary school or so.

Therefore, I offer NerdFighters a space (nay, an opportunity) for Haiku generation:

For non-poetry nerds, or those not feeling up to a Wiki search, a Haiku poem is basically 5 syllables for the first line, 7 for the second line, and 5 for the third and final line.

Nicolai and i
Frolicking through the meadows
Terrorizing birds

Nicolai (my guy)
Gets carsick, but now he knows
Comfort with my words

Nicolai, oh why?
Hurts are not undone with prose.
