Permalink Reply by Alex Filsinger on August 19, 2011 at 1:19am This is amazing on so many levels. My current desktop is from The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy; "In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move."
I'm so excited that Martin Freeman is The Hobbit's Bilbo Baggins.

Permalink Reply by Tazlima on December 27, 2011 at 10:57pm I have several from Watership Down, which I've read so many times I've nearly got it memorized (favorite book ever).
"Silflay Hraka." - Exclamative, literally turds from during your morning or evening meal. Similar in meaning to BS or doggone it.
"A rabbit that doesn't know when something has made him safe is poorer then a slug."
"As tharn as an owl in daylight." - Tharn is a word describing the state an animal reaches when it's so frightened that it's unable to flee, and just sits there glazed and terrified as a predator approaches.
"Embleer Frith." Embleer - stinking: the word for the smell of a fox. Frith - the sun/God. About the rudest thing a rabbit can say.
