Nerdfighters

Last year I participated in a 50 book challenge and I fell a little short of the mark, but only cuz I started about 3 months into the year (ahem, yeah right). Several fellow nerdfighters wanted to join me in my quest, so here we are!

Start a thread with your personal goal for 2.0.0.9, and then add on as you read throughout the year. This way we get to see what everyone else is reading & keep each other in check. Feel free to add me as a friend, or you might get a friends request from me--so we keep each other in line!

Good Luck,
Allison :-)

P.S. YES, there will be a 50 Book Challenge 2.0.1.0!!

Added Note: Here's my list of what I have read so far for this year's challenge! http://nerdfighters.ning.com/profiles/blogs/my-50-book-challenge-fo...

Good idea, I'm in. Not sure if I will make it to 50, but it's nice to have a goal. I'm Dutch, so many of the titles I will be reading you won't understand (unless you're Dutch too), although I do enjoy English literature as well. On 31 December I bought three books:

1. Dimitri Verhulst - De helaasheid der dingen
2. John Updike - The Witches of Eastwick
3. Irvine Welsh - If You Liked School, You'll Love Work

Almost a week into 2009 I'm through about a third of the first one. I should have finished it by tomorrow if I want to make 50! Oh, well...

I'm half-Dutch and living in NL.... but I very rarely read Dutch books so I'll be watching your list for ideas :-)

Are these books you've read already this year?? I need to get to it if I want to finish 1 by Feb. :p

I know! I am not getting very far in my first book...and I just got a box full of advance readers copies today at work. They are begging to be read! Le sigh. I need more time in the day.

The sequel to Peeps, you mean The Last Days?
I actually liked it, it's very jumpy with the points of view, but I still enjoyed it.

I suppose so. I actually don't know what it called. I think Peeps is a bit overrated, as are Uglies etc, but I lovethe Midnighter's Triology.

The numbered are the one's I've read so far :)

7. HP 3
My miniature goal is to finish all of the Harry Potter books in less that to weeks. So far I'm doing great.

It is The Last Days.
The Midnighter's Trilogy are the first books I read from Scott Westerfeld, and still my favorite.
Good luck with finishing the HP books!
