Being a creator isn't easy. But that isn't my career choice, so some might say I have it easy. The people who have it hard are the painters, the singers, the actors. The people who face rejection and denial every day, who hold their heads up high when others would give up and change their mind about what they set out to do with their lives. People call them unrealistic, I call them determined. Dedicated. Committed. And when you meet someone who has a passion for an art, be it writing or drawing or acting, or even speaking it is almost a surreal experience. Something that opens our eyes, shows us the determination needed to succeed against all odds and even motivates us to be more like that person.
Enter Russel Ewing: actor, director, producer, writer. The list goes on. Russel is a rising actor in California, and have the honor to call him a friend as well. In order to acquire auditions in the cutthroat California Film scene, one needs to have a reel of film credits to show to casting directors. Instead of acting in full films we opted to write and produce the films ourselves.
We set out with a simple goal. An over ambitious goal, perhaps, but a simple goal nonetheless: create 5 short films in 10 days. Here's the final product. So sit back, relax, and enjoy, and if you like them, please, don't hesitate to share them with your friends.
