Anyone write poems/lyrics that I could put a melody to?

I can come up with music on my guitar easily enough (for someone who has only been playing for a month), but when it comes to words, I have trouble. Who better to ask than my fellow nerdfighters for help? If you have anything, do reply with some words of awesome and I'll make a video or something later.

i also struggle with this problem, so i found that writing music to edgar allen poe poems really helps. although you could use just about any one else, i chose him becuase i have a huge book of all his works.

Yeah, I've written a song to Lord Byron's She Walks in Beauty and even one to Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham, but I've wanted to try something new. I'll try out Poe though, thanks :)
