Yes! I'm vegetarian. I like milk products too much to go vegan though.
O god I could never go vegan and give up cheese pizza...
(vegetarian)
Not to be sucky but since going vegan I found that cheese tastes and smells bad to me. A lot like how meat smells bad to me now too. :)
Me too. I don't really care about milk its self but other things like cheese and butter I LOVE
I used to be a vegetarian but my iron levels went down a lot, and I was like born with low iron levels. So I was constantly sick and tired so my mom made me stop :(
A lot of vegetables have more iron than meat. For instance, spinach is higher in iron levels by many kinds of measurements than steak. So, perhaps you could do research and try again? :)
Also, quinoa is an awesome complete vegan protein (has all the amino acids and iron) and it is yummy!
I'm vegetarian, considering transitioning to vegan. If I do, it'll have to be gradually. The hardest part for me is finding enough vegan-friendly food without spending a fortune. I'm a ballet dancer, so I eat a lot more than most vegetarians/vegans and, in case you haven't heard, ballet dancers are poorly paid, many having to work as many as FIVE OTHER jobs. I am not currently with a company, I am taking a year to try more intensely, since I just graduated in May. Although I'm living with my mother right now, I'll be off in about a year, and I hate to go vegan and then have to go back. :/ Also, my mom already kinda resents that I require some of my own groceries.
dude i totally love that ur a professional ballerina thats like my childhood dream. i've been trying to get my sis to take me to see a ballet i think its so beautiful and amazing how graceful it is. plus you gotta admit tutus are pretty awesome
chickpeas and lentils are awesome, and usually pretty cheap, if you buy store brand or in bulk. you can cook up big batches of chili or curry and then freeze or keep for later when you're too busy dancing to cook :) go nerd dancers!
I'm not vegan or a veg, but I used to work for an organic cafe and used to make the "veggie sandwich". So yum!

I usually use oat/buttermilk bread, but whatever's your fancy+spinach+carrots (I like a lot)+hummus+onions (I always nix on the onions but up to you!)

Sounds funky, looks and tastes healthy, very colorful, and delicious!
Yes indeed! Since 7th grade which was 8 years ago, yey!
It makes me happy to meet Veggie lovers too.
