Zombie fighting is serious business, and requires specialized tools. However, due to the wide range of zombie types, available weaponry, and combat preferences, the equipment chosen for the task is often variable and strongly debated. What would YOU use? What would you reccommend for different situations? Factoring in cost and availability can be important... as nice as it would be to be in fortress stronghold with a battalion of rocket-launcher-wielding commandos, it's not particularly realistic.

So. Flamethrowers, rockets, Molotovs, grenades, pistols, snipers, chainsaws, vorpal sporks... what's your choice?

I'd also try and find a crossbow and avoid guns altogether. While they can be very difficult to load in a high-stress situation, they're very effective if you know how to use them, and much safer - not to mention quieter - than a gun.

Two handed machete because it can be swung with great momentum in open spaces, yet can still be swung effectively with leverage in cramped areas. And as it is a machete, it's meant for cutting through things, including limbs and necks.

Crowbar, bat, and of course a gun.
Crowbar: This is a good weapon because it never runs out of gas or bullets and you can easily whack of someones head with it.
Bat: A metal one, of course
Gun: Just for like when I'm surrounded, I won't use it often but I'll so come to a place with ammo.

The problem with using a crowbar (or 2) is that there is nothing to absorb the impact, as they're designed more for use as a prying device than for being used as a bludgeon. What type of gun? That's extremely vague.

Sawed off pump 12 gauge, Springfield XDM 45 acp and some sort of bladed weapon havent decided yet  ( no katana  )
