Book Club book????

i'm am in a book club at my school, and we are facing a dilemma. We need a relatively long book, with a good story plot, complex characters, and that both guys and girls will like. And if it helps, the club is made up of some high school nerdfighters(: Thanks so much!!!

The Book Thief by Marcus Zusack. It is a wonderful book, though long, about a girl in Nazi Germany. She fights for her beliefs and for her books. This book is told through Death's eyes which makes it very unique.

"War and Peace" solves all your problems. It's definitely long, has war for the boys, love interests for the girls, political intrigue for others. That didn't sound too sexist did it?
