Just as last time in 2009, John Green will be presenting his new book, this time "the fault in our stars", at the international literature festival in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich.
I know that because my teacher contacted me about this matter and sent me the newsletter, saying so. (I'll attach it in this post).
So yes, the festival will start on the 4th September and end on the 16th. In between that time, John Green will have his book-presentation.
I for myself look quite forward to this and I'm pretty sure some of you are too.
Well, 'till then DFTBA!
EDIT:
The final dates are: Sep 11th in Berlin, 12th in Hamburg, 13th in Frankfurt and 14th in Munich

I wasn't online since forever but I'm a Nerdfighter from Germany, too, hey ho!
I'll be in Berlin on the 11th at 7:30, is that the English one?
Please say yes. Also. Are there exact plans for a gathering? Someone tell me?
Pretty please.
DFTBA
Permalink Reply by Ceridfran on August 25, 2012 at 7:44am Sorry, Hanna, that's one of the German ones. The English one is at noon.
As far as I know, there will be (a) gathering(s) between readings, but I am not aware of any concrete plans as of now.
Permalink Reply by Ceridfran on August 25, 2012 at 8:43am How I know which events are in English? From the Literaturfestival's program: http://www.literaturfestival.com/kjl/ilb_2012_KJL_Programmheft.pdf/... . The morning and noon events are school classes only, that's why you can't buy tickets for those online. You can try calling the Youth Literature department of the festival and ask to be put on the guest list, like some people have, but it's getting pretty full, as I have heard. The number is a few posts back. Or join the German Nerdfighters FB group, it's all there as well.
John will be at all three events. It'll just be someone else reading from the book, namely Regina Gisbertz, like it says on John's publisher's website (link above in the starting post of this discussion).
I'm really trying to stay nice, but I've explained all this before, people. At least twice, in fact. Read the rest of the discussion before you switch to panic mode, please.
I'm really, really sorry.
Honestly.
I won't bother you again.
Thank you for explaining again.
Permalink Reply by Ceridfran on August 25, 2012 at 9:13am It's not really your fault, Hanna, you just happened to be the umpteenth person to ask the same panicky questions. ;) No worries, sweetie.
Oh boy, an abundance of panic, is it.
I gather you have a "copy-paste" system going on, then?
:'D
Permalink Reply by Ceridfran on August 25, 2012 at 9:33am Hehe, no, unfortunately not. I may have to do an FAQ or something.
Permalink Reply by gelingeling on August 25, 2012 at 10:43am Thank you for explaining it again (;
Furthermore: Yes, there will be gatherings before and after the events. I wasn't able to look for a good spot yet. But we definitely will meet up to sign the pages and to get to know other nerdfighters and so on. So no worries (: And even if you don't have a ticket for the event or for only one of the readings or whatever I'd be glad to see you guys (and by that I mean all of you) at the gathering(s) (:
Permalink Reply by Mealla McAllister on August 25, 2012 at 11:59am Okay, I will be in Berlin, but for the 7:30pm one (I can't be in Berlin earlier)! Can't wait to meet some of you guys :)
My Nerdfighter-In-Training friend, my father and I will be in Frankfurt on the 13th at 8 pm. Anybody else? Would be great to get to know each other beforehand, as already suggested. So excited for this...
Permalink Reply by Caro unterwegs on September 9, 2012 at 2:25am There are plans, mostly conceived in the facebook group, to meet up in front of the venue at 17 h. Further planning (park, Main, coffee shop) will be dependent on the weather. See you there!
