Cancer Research Fundraiser

SO! I have a big fundraiser idea for cancer research. But since my fundraising experience is fairly limited (few thousand dollars for various community needs), I'd like to talk with someone who's had experience with large-scale fundraising, and the use of social media to obtain that goal.
