Casting "Looking For Alaska"

Being a form of a cinematic-nerdfighter, while reading "Looking For Alaska" I continuously pictured different actors for certain characters of the novel, and so I was wondering...

...if "Looking for Alaska" was transposed into a film, and, for some reason (maybe because you're terminally ill, or maybe because you have the ability to scream a sonic boom, or maybe because you're just amazingly awesome), YOU were hired as the casing director; how would YOU cast the film?

Here's how I would do it:

The Colonel...Samm Levine

Takumi...KevJumba (ok, I know that's sooo lame of me to say, but tell me you didn't think of him at all?!?!)

Lara...(a younger) Amanda Seyfried

Pudge...Jack Carpenter

Of course, it's too hard (for me at least) to picture an existing person as Alaska, considering few people can personify the enchantment and interest as she did in the book.

PS< Sorry Mr. John Green. I know some authors hate when people do this, but Curiousity took hold of me and dragged me to the computer.

i think, that the Colonel should be played by Samm Levine, no doubt. And Takumi, Aaron Yoo! Someone said Alaska should be played by Olivia Thirlby, and i personally think she fits better as Lara. And Pudge, either Hale Appleman or Michael Cera. I like Michael for this part because Pudge is really shy and nerdy, fits Michael so perfectly. And Alaska, possibly Blake Lively. Who knows, i don't think anyone has enough talent to play Alaska.

John has said on a few occasions that he would prefer a completely unknown cast, no celebrities.
Therefore, if this ever makes it to the big screen, we will all just have to be surprised (If John gets his way.  I think that he should have the right to choose the cast.  He knows best, after all).

the Colonel: Emile Hirsch

Takumi: Aaron Yoo

Alaska: Teresa Palmer (if you watch clips of her in december boys you will understand why she is a perfect Alaska!)

she has blue eyes, but thats what contacts are for. pluss shes reallly pretty and 5'5 so shes smaller.

Lara- Olesya Rulin (she is actaully russian)

the Eagle- Christoph Waltz, i like him for the Eagle cuz he is kinda scary

and yeah thats basically what i think! I really really hope they dont cast any well known actors, that would kinda ruin it.

Alaska / Kaya Scodelario. She's so damn perfect. Just... Ugh. And I don't care what anybody says, in my head, Alaska will forever have dark hair. Kaya is just perfect for Alaska.

Pudge / ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS Michael Cera.<333

Takumi / Aaron Yoo forever. I can't imagine anybody else being Takumi.

Colonel / Okay, this was the difficult one. I considered Emile Hirsch for a long time, but I kept coming back to Joe Dempsie. He just possesses certain qualities that fit the Colonel~

Lara / Imogen Poots or Hannah Murray, 'nuff said.

The Eagle / PIERCE BRONSAN.
