Casting "Looking For Alaska"

Being a form of a cinematic-nerdfighter, while reading "Looking For Alaska" I continuously pictured different actors for certain characters of the novel, and so I was wondering...

...if "Looking for Alaska" was transposed into a film, and, for some reason (maybe because you're terminally ill, or maybe because you have the ability to scream a sonic boom, or maybe because you're just amazingly awesome), YOU were hired as the casing director; how would YOU cast the film?

Here's how I would do it:

The Colonel...Samm Levine

Takumi...KevJumba (ok, I know that's sooo lame of me to say, but tell me you didn't think of him at all?!?!)

Lara...(a younger) Amanda Seyfried

Pudge...Jack Carpenter

Of course, it's too hard (for me at least) to picture an existing person as Alaska, considering few people can personify the enchantment and interest as she did in the book.

I WANT TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK!

PS< Sorry Mr. John Green. I know some authors hate when people do this, but Curiousity took hold of me and dragged me to the computer.

Takumi: Eric Yorkie (Even though Google just told me he was in Twilight, which slayed me.)
The Colonel: Brilliant! I wouldn't change it.
Lara: Some actress I don't know (I didn't really have a picture in my head involving Lara.)
Pudge: Jake Goldsbie (Was anyone else actually thinking Pudge would look like John Green? Anyone?)

That would be such a fantastic part. Whoever they DO cast will have to be pretty stellar to pull it off properly.

The Cornel-Ahh...who plays Emmett...o.0...xD...he'd have to be shorter though.
Pudge-Michael Cera...although...he's a little too tall. John needs to have a kid that looks like him and then the kid needs to play Pudge when he's older because that's how I pictured him..young John Green...xD
Takumi-I have no idea why but I pictured Takumi as ResidentMikeLee for some reason...xD Or I could see that Kev Jumba dude being him too.
Lara-Yeah I can see Amanda Seyfried as her..xD
Alaska-....I-i...I DON'T KNOW!!!
