Only certain classes make you wear bad customs like that.
If you go into classes like jazz, modern, or hiphop, the customs get a lot less frilly.
I've only been in one class where you had to wear a tutu, I was like 6 then.

I exist, I think.
I'm not exactly what one would call talented, but I'm on my school's pom team and I take dance for my option.
I also took ballet for three years and highland for three years.

I love dance, and I took tap, jazz, ballet, and ballet technique for nine years, but I quit because the teacher hated me.
But I still dance and I still love it, even though I'm not ver good. XD

I used to dance! When I was like 3 or 4. But I quit becaue I really hated the teacher for some reason I don't remember

That's amazing
I love dance and I put a lot of emotion into it but technical stuff like flexibility and what not I completely suck at.
That is so awesome that there is a nerdfighter who is part of a dance company!

Well Many already knows, but dance is my one and only true passion in life.
Been doing it since I was about 5 and haven't stoped since.
Really, I try in school but nothing in this world is comparable to dance, I can't describe it in words...(Insert interpretive dance here=])

I've been dancing for six years through theatre. I learned dances in my drama classes in middle school, and when I was a freshman I was in my first musical. So far I've been in two musicals, Pippin and Footloose. My third will be Damn Yankees this spring. I just finished a play that was set in the 70s (I was a disco dancer in it!). My advanced theatre class also has a Song and Dance Tour. We rehearse songs and dances from Broadway shows and perform them at nursing homes and elementary schools in the spring.
This year I'm in dance class, too. We do all different styles...so far we've covered hip hop, swing, belly dance, African dance, and lame High School Musical dance (I wish I was kidding).
So anyways, I'm not the best of dancers, but I'm really good at performing dances for all they're worth. I put a crapload of energy into them andI'm pretty damn good at the facial expressions, too.

What kind of programs does everyone have at their school?
I'm in high school and I've been on the dance ensemble for 4 years now, It's audition based and we do all kinds of dance, attend a lot of workshops and we all work unbelivebly hard to put on a dance show at the end of the year called Knight Moves.
There's also dance team, which focuses on only hip hop styles and performs only at the rally's at school.
Where do you guys dance?!?!?!

My school only has a dance team, and we haven't even rehearsed once.
We suck
I go to a studio in a nearby town.
I take ballet, pointe, jazz, and modern
I wish I took hip-hop and tap though.
