Duct Tape would solve a lot of problems. i've also heard of gags/Bandanas being tied over their mouths. i did that one year, it made things a little easier.
could be difficult cause it's on my birthday... but i'll try!
when is the day of silence, i'd like to participate, but when?
Totally participating. I'm co-chair of my school's GSA, we're trying to make a big thing about it, hopefully we can give out T-shirts and those silicon bracelets.
Do mind if I suggest something?
Last year my school had serious success making our own bracelets out of rainbow duct tape. People liked them and they were relatively cheap to make. Plus we gave out the duct tape to help people (:
We've done that, but it's kind of labor-intensive.
Ahh, true. We had a Diversity Club that was looking for funds and they actually did it for us.
We fear thing we do not know about. Instead of being silent, I educate those about what they don't understand.
what day is it exactly because I'll definitely participate.
We're trying to organize it, but we already had a day of silence this year, and I doubt they'd allow another one. People just use it as an excuse to not talk in class. It's sad, really.
Jacquelyn, DOS is April 17th.

Also my friend's birthday, FYI. You are not alone, Lothran.
Yes! I have no school then though...my mom will be very bored that day.
