So, some of my friends created this awesome group whose main goal in its existence is to teach kids in schools about the peacemakers and general awesome nice people in the world. The goal of this is to fight bullying and teach kids from day one that it is better to be peaceful than to fight with others. We already have a curriculum in place that is ready to launch in any school.
Please, if you are a student, share this with your school. If you're anyone else, share this with your local school or and kids you might know. This thing is already up and running, and all it needs is to be spread around to others.

Permalink Reply by Hattie Skeith on November 6, 2012 at 4:26pm I love the concept behind this. It is universal and promotes global understanding. I am interested in stretching this curriculum to my school but there is no guarantee.

My name is Fish Stark and I'm one of the Executive Directors of the Teaching Peace Initiative. Right now, we're focused on expanding our initiative to schools across the country so that we can inspire this generation to reject bullying and stand up for peace and tolerance. Right now, we're working with schools in New York, Ohio, New Jersey, and Maryland, and we'd love to help start a club in yours as well.
Even if you're not interested in starting a club, we're looking for students (the organization is entirely student-directed and student-staffed) to help with online outreach, legislative advocacy, etc, so if you want to get involved and help make our schools safer in any way, we have a way for you to help. Email me at fish@teachingpeaceinitiative.com.
Peace,
Fish
