As I begin this thread, I wonder if anyone will want to talk about it at all. But I think it is something worth having an open dialogue about. Also, I know that many nerd fighters are young and that youth almost inherently breeds a misunderstanding and complete rejection of drugs, due to the absolute horrid drug education in this country and, most importantly, a lack of experience.
Let's all try to keep an open mind.

My opinion:
The two recreational drugs that are legal as such in this country are nicotine and alcohol. They are both massive killers. Neither opens your mind in a thoughtful, helpful, or creative way.
At the same time this country vilifies MARIJUANA. A drug that has never killed anyone.
I submit to you that ALL drugs should be legal.

Proof please. If not, then there is no reason for you to make this argument. Please do not make it anymore, since it is based on nothing but your or others personal feelings when on a MIND ALTERING SUBSTANCE.

You make claims that Marajuana should be legal, why should we extend this privilege to other drugs that do kill people physically and immediately?

Just because we have made poor decisions that we can not take back, does not mean that a decision that is less harmful is still a good or correct decision.

You are asking me to submit proof about the mental affects of a drug, which is by its very nature a subjective experience. Interesting concept. Like saying "Please supply me with proof that you like rainbows."
I suppose the proof I could offer would be the amazing music and other creative works that artists produce under the influence of drugs, including marijuana. Sometimes, people do drugs, they make amazing music, marijuana had a positive affect, end of story. Other than that, I think you're off your fucking rocker to tell me that I shouldn't make this argument.
I think all drugs should be legal because people do them anyways and it would be a much safer way for them to be done, both for the those ingesting and those killed over drugs. You can kill yourself by jumping off a bridge or standing in front of a bus, but these things are not illegal.
My point about alcohol and cigarettes is more to show the hypocrisy of the legal system than the morality, since there is NONE anyways. And I think you're wrong. Making something that is LESS harmful legal is a good decision, or at least a better one.

I know me showing actual feelings is kinda rare on these forums, but when I find someone I really think is interesting I do so.
I guess you could think of it as saving myself for people I care about. Hahaha! But like seriously, when I find people I like I open up to em to learn a lot about myself and them.

But then again u have idiots who take to much drugs and then die cuz of it (my aunt died from lung cancer, she used to smoke) and so yes i do think that all drugs should be illegal. As for the bus thing, that is something that happens that you can't prevent as much as drug abuse can be prevented.

Better outlaw coffee. Better shut down every pharmaceutical company, and start stockpiling herbal remedies.

Hell, better get ready for everyone to die, because herbal remedies are based on drugs within a certain herb or plant.

You have to draw a line on what drugs to outlaw, and the fact is, that line is always going to be stupid so you'd might as well erase it. Let everyone do everything they want to.
