Finding nerd girls is impossible.

Either they do not exist or they have fled the lands of South Carolina.
any ideas on how to find one?

bookstores. my friend and i were going to see Narnia and ended up being a couple hours early so we hung out in the nearby bookstore and went around looking for awesome books

Nah, we're definitely out here. I know it's been said a lot, but sometimes we do not appear instantly nerdy on sight. Just talk to us; if we're nerds, we won't bite. XP

Nerd girls!? What about the opposite? Decent nerd guys are nearly impossible to find! It seems as thought we have come across quite a problem.. A lack of nerd couples. :'(

I concur with this statement, but let me suggest a small revision. Lack of nerd guys that are interested in nerd girls :/

Just find a female friend. Nerds usually attract nerds. Anywhere you are comfortable being at is quite possibly a place a nerdy girl feels comfortable at as well.

Hang around hole-in-the-wall used book stores! There are plenty of nerd girls, it's nerd guys that are hard to find. Have you any idea how hard it is to find a guy your own age who wants to discuss the validity of the dystopian future presented by George Orwell in 1984 versus that presented by Aldous Huxley in Brave New World?

im definitely a nerd girl, and a lot of times when i go out i wear a doctor who t-shirt or some kind of nerd-hinting article and i always hope someone will comment on it and I'll find a new nerd friend. search for nerd hinting clothing or accessories

I wear a Ravenclaw scarf- it's subtle enough to look like a normal knitted scarf, but any HP nerd will recognise the colours :D
