This is a petition to make the US government conduct a full scale investigation of the possibilities of builidng the Gen 1 Enterprise as described on the following web site

It is about building a vessel that will be able to reach every planet in this solar system, instead of just a one shot jump to Mars, we're talking about a permanent interplanetary presence.

This is the big thing! We need to get behind this!

Very cool, but I ask myself if it's really realistic that they'll use of money to build a replica as a first gen when it would easily tripple the cost without any true purpose besides looking mighty fine. I mean it's only the rotating disk we're interested in, but maybe parts of the otherwise oversized cosmetic hull could work as a radiation shield, dock etc?

Personally I think It should be private. There is a similar thing that looks like a deathstar. It won't go anywhere but It helps get others interested.  I really wish people would come to our meetings on mondays. Please.

I'll think about it, I'm always hesitant about real time communications though, tries to avoid them. How long does it take? How many are there? Linden time is Pacific time, so that would be 11pm Norwegian time I believe... Btw how do you communicate in um "there"? By audio or by text? I don't have a decent mic and my accent sucks.
