Today Russia's already legendary all-girl punk/activist outfit Pussy Riot received a two year prison sentence for this:
Unbelievable right? Pretty innocent stuff... They didn't burn anything, break anything or even show anything... All they did was deliver a vocal protest against the close ties that's been formed between the President and the church's patriarchs. Very appropriate imo. Kind of funny to see the horror struck congregation flee the scene as if it was the devil himself at their heals. Talk about misplaced paranoia...
What is wrong with Russia?! Putin has been consolidating power almost unobstructed for more than a decade now. Journalists who otherwise can't be touched due to so-called "freedom of speech" do mysteriously end up dead, leaving activist easy pickings for the authority since no one dare publicly object/investigate... You'd think they'd learned a thing or two about these sort of men, but sadly no... :/
Today, they apparently also banned gay pride parades in the capital for the next 100 years!! I'm not shitting you! Have they all gone completely off their hinges?

Two years for that. How do they have the room in their prison for stupid shit? I guess they made room for anti PUtin crowd.
