I stand against all the hate and bigotry that ignorant Christians promote in the name of loving their God.
That said, I am about at my wit's end with everyone saying that it is an absolute fact that Christianity opposes homosexuality.
All of the passages used to promote this theory can be refuted. The Bible has been translated countless times by the hopelessly corrupt in order to manipulate the population and distort the original messages for their own purposes.
You are using your religion as an excuse to ostracize a group of people who are just as legitimately people as you are. Very Christ-like of you.
In the words of Noam Chomsky, "Any system of hierarchy and domination must justify itself." So what exactly justifies the classification of homosexuality as sin? Don't resort to a mere appeal to authority. Use rationally derived ethics to show me why homosexuality is sinful. Otherwise, even in the improbable case that your religion is correct, it's sin only by the whim and decree of a morally bankrupt tyrant.
God didn't create us that way. He didn't create mankind to be paired as two men or two women, only a man and a woman.
Also, even the religious part aside, how can you not find homosexuality just kind of downright gross? There's nothing loving about it. If anything, it's hateful, as homosexual sex only cultures disease.
Homosexuality is called by God an "abomination", but NO, God does NOT hate homosexuals in ANY capacity.
Decency is in the eye of the beholder. "homosexual sex only cultures disease"?
Read a book son. If you're talking about AIDS, you can contract that from a blood transfusion. It is rampant in Africa, among other places. Are you telling me that almost entire African nations are gay?
Also, currently AIDS is far more common among heterosexuals (nothing against you straight kids, of course. Just pointing out the ridiculousness of the gay sex = disease comment.)
Yes. More AIDS per capita, as it were. Those at highest risk for AIDS right now are unmarried, sexually active, heterosexual females. Lesbians are least likely to transmit AIDS, or any other STD.
yes, in the 80's and maybe 90's STD's were more common with gays, and currently it is more common with straight female blacks. im not sure if this is in america or if it's including africans though.
