God does not hate gays

I stand against all the hate and bigotry that ignorant Christians promote in the name of loving their God.
That said, I am about at my wit's end with everyone saying that it is an absolute fact that Christianity opposes homosexuality.
All of the passages used to promote this theory can be refuted. The Bible has been translated countless times by the hopelessly corrupt in order to manipulate the population and distort the original messages for their own purposes.
You are using your religion as an excuse to ostracize a group of people who are just as legitimately people as you are. Very Christ-like of you.

It is, of course, true that looking at human anatomy it appears that sex should be within a man and a woman. But really, if sex is only for the purpose of reproduction, why don't we all use in-vitro fertilization? We've proved that, unlike most animals, we do NOT exist to reproduce. In how many other species does it take females nearly fifteen years to become fertile? Humans are the only organisms that actually get pleasure from sex. Is that a coincidence? Not at all - as the so-called most intelligent life forms, we take reproduction a step above. Homosexuality is found in nearly every species of animal. Some animals are hermaphrodites - the anatomy of both a female and a male. Did your God make these, too? No other species shuns this, so why do we think that we should? Yes, it's different, but what isn't? Who are we to tell people not to love? We haven't the authority to do this. And also, on the subject of god: Don't you think that if this God does exist (I am definitely a skeptic) he/she/they judges us on how we act and not who we let stick where?
