Nerdfighters

I stand against all the hate and bigotry that ignorant Christians promote in the name of loving their God.
That said, I am about at my wit's end with everyone saying that it is an absolute fact that Christianity opposes homosexuality.
All of the passages used to promote this theory can be refuted. The Bible has been translated countless times by the hopelessly corrupt in order to manipulate the population and distort the original messages for their own purposes.
You are using your religion as an excuse to ostracize a group of people who are just as legitimately people as you are. Very Christ-like of you.

Prove me wrong.
Back me up.

ahhh epic fail
=)
Gays are born gay, and thus, if catholicism is correct, God made gays gay, so how can he say that his creation is an "abomination"?
The idea of people being "Born gay" is still very very much debated.
I agree with you Shaena :)
Yes and i find this to be extremely RETARDED, regardless of my catholic upbringing. The church(Or at least my religion teacher) says that if 2 women or 2 men were meant to be together, their sexual organs would fit. It is also said that god does not hate homosexuals or homosexuality really. He hates homosexual intercourse, because it counts as adultery and fornication since Homosexuals are not allowed to marry. THAT IS A LOAD OF BUULLLLLLLLSHIIIIIT.

Love is love whoever you are. How dare you say there is nothing loving about it?!? If anything homosexual love may be deeper and purer than heterosexuals, from the deep bond that can develop from withstanding the discrimination of close minded idiots like you. Love is love. You can be the STRAIGHTEST man alive and you can still fall in love with that one man that can love you just as well as a woman can. I hate people like you taht are so close minded and are convinced that homosexuality is a bad thing: a mental disorder. I believe that God created love for everyone, for all loves. It is said in Scripture, "Love is kind, love is strong, love never fails." If this is so(Said by Saint Paul himself) can't love break down all barriers? Including those of not only gender, but age or nationality?

And I'd appreciate it if you would understand that not all Christians are ignorant. Some think.
"Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity, opinions that differ from the prejudiced of their social environment. Most people are even incapable of forming such opinions." -Albert Einstein.
There are people like this. Hell, this describes my 8th grade class to a T, but not me.
What you mean is :

Also, even the religious part aside, how can you not find homophobia just kind of downright gross? There's nothing loving about it. If anything, it's hateful, as homophobia only cultures mindless intolerance.

Ok, I'll just go tell my gay friend that he should stop being who he was born as, Stop loving his boyfriend and conform, Because people think its gross and every action he takes is wrong by decree of some inconspicously missing skydaddy.

Fuck you and your lousy non-existent excuse for your own prejudices.

I hope you're trolling, because you absolutely disgust me. Their is nothing, NOTHING gross about love.
That is like saying that God does not hate heterosexuals, but he hates a man and a woman having sex. I am a Jewish, heterosexual female feminist (which, if you do not know, in no way promotes female superiority, only the equal rights of both sexes) , who totally supports gay rights. Religion is designed to empower people and bring them together, and if we put down a specific group, that is doing exactly what religion is trying not to do. We have to accept that there are people who act differently from yourself and that that is okay. In the person standing to my right, who could be homosexual, I could be the strange one. You say that God thinks homosexuality is an abomination, but does not hate them. If I walked up to you right now and said to your face that you were an abomination, but I did not hate you, would you not hate me? Do not be offensive, and do not put people different from you down. I am different and you are different and as a Nerdfighter, I must recognize that each and every Nerdfighter is unique in their own way. We must recognize people for the way they act, not how they live their own lives.

Hey, wtf?! i will try to be nice about this, but, i simply cannot stand people in your mindset. There is no more hate in homosexual sex than there is in straight sex, and the act itself cannot be hateful because it is just that--an act-- to be determined as hateful or otherwise by the actors, not you, not anyone else.

Also, there is no more disease in it than there is in straight sex, either. In fact, things such as aids are more likey to be contracted with heterosexual couples. it only appears more common among homosexuals because there are less.

not to mention, people got married as early as 12 years old in bible days and half of the marital couple was property whos primary use was to produce children, so just shut up about all this "wait until marriage" crap. marriage is superficial, unnecessary, and out-dated.

By the way, I'm not sure what dictionary you've been reading but it's to my understanding that 'abomination' is a very derogatory, hateful term expressing dislike, disapproval, shame, disgust, and immorality. Yeah, not hateful at all. :(

"There's nothing loving about it" umm, how would you know? Also, disease is not spontaneously generated, it comes from somewhere. With gay sex atleast, you can't pass Human Imunodificiency Virus to an innocent baby
