Nerdfighters

For quite a while now I have been wanting a full fledged sci-fi novel. Any recommendations?

My personal favorite is Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. But there are quite a few good ones.

Contest by Matthew Reilly - it's kind of like a sci-fi/action movie rolled into a book. The author was only 19 when he wrote it and published it himself too, which is pretty impressive

What about like, Battlefield Earth?

I haven't read much of the comments, so that was probably already posted.

but hey! It'll keep you going for a while, that book (paperback) is thicker than a brick.

Topically, there's Miracle, and Other Christmas Stories. by Connie Willis. These are short stories with Christmas themes (though at leas one seems more like Halloween).

Are you team Miracle on 34th Street or team It's A Wonderful Life?

Enders Game by Orson Scott Card is a pretty good sci-fi choice.
