So how were all of you guys introduced to Doctor Who?

When was the first time you heard of it? When did you start watching? What was your initial reaction? How confused were you at first? :)

I started watching after seeing Youtube vlogs and had no idea what it was. Finally I thought 'Okay, I need to see what this is all about'. I then found it on BBC America and have watched it ever since.

I started watching it after the hiatus with my dad who watched it growing up. At first, I thought it was the lamest thing ever.... and now I'm addicted.

I was flipping channels with my sister and we started watching it part way through "Night Terrors". We were both super confused. I mean, a guy being threatened by life-size dolls? We shut it off after a bit. A few months later she started telling me to give it another go. Eventually I did and I've obsessed ever since.

i actually watched this one with my dad.  clearly not his thing, and i can respect that...though it makes me a little sad.

about 4 years ago, my brothers ex-girlfriend recommended it. since she loved harry potter as i did, i started watching it from beginning and in no time, i was in love :D

About two years ago my Mom started watching the show because of Torchwood. She would talk about it all the time so I asked her if I could watch it with her and I totally fell in love with it.

The first episode of Doctor Who I watched was actually "Doomsday." It was on TV one time and I had heard about the show and had been told to watch it by some internet friends. I did and even though I didn't really know what was going on I almost instantly became emotionally attached to it. After that I went out to the library and for the next two weeks I got the seasons out and watched them in the privacy of my own room.

Basically, a lot of the time I refer to Nine as the one that introduced me to Who but Ten was probably the one that really got me hooked.

Even though I live in America I have been watching Doctor Who since I was about 6. My parents both watched it so eventually the just decided to show it to me. My first doc. was Tom Baker. We recently (about 1 year ago) started watching it again with the start of the new series. I finally am up to date and....yeah.

My best friend kept on talking about the Doctor and I was confused on who he was, so I said "I'm going to watch Doctor Who, ok?" and he said "Um, yeah sure. Ok.", so that day I made a netflix account and watched the first episode. I was like, "This is the best show I've ever seen how come I've never seen this before I just can't and this is gonna give me a heck lot of feels and there'll be an otp and I'll fangirl and I CAN'T" so yeah, then I was confused on who was the first Doctor and the Tardis and my brain exploded.

My parents named the boat we lived on the Tardis. It was blue and sexy but most certainly not bigger on the inside! It was pretty much a requirement to watch the Doctor. Although the schism of our family occurred when I said I liked Tennant more than Baker.

they really shouldn't be fighting words, but strong loyalty to both.

I listened to Chameleon Circuit while i was writing a paper for school, and i watched Alex Day (Nerimon) and Charlieissocoollike's videos, and they kept on talking about it, so i thought i would try to watch it.
