How would you make an English Language Studies degree more environmentally sustainable?

This might sound like an odd request, but my stepmother is currently working on a new degree for her university students, and she's been asked to make it as sustainable as possible.

 

She'd love some ideas, so I thought I'd turn to the nerdfighters:

 

Here's a few ideas to get started:

 

-How to save money on student's travel (i.e. how many times they have to drive in for the classes)

-How to save paper

-How to save electricity (this kinda links to 'how to save paper', 'cause obviously anything which isn't written down will probably need to be electronic)
