Hey Nerdfighters.
I'm in a photography club at my school, and we've been planning to do a hunger awareness campaign throughout the school for a couple of months. The idea is that we are going to attach these huge cloth posters to the ceiling of the school (rolled up like blinds) and at a synchronized time let them loose so they fall open. On these posters will be a picture, some attention grabber that will get people thinking about hunger awareness. After that, we start the actual helping, collecting food, finding ways to conserve food, etc, hopefully with the added support of everyone who was affected by the people who see the posters.
What I want from you:
-What should be on the posters? It needs to leave an impact. It can involve text. Should the posters each have something different, or should they be the same? Roughly I'd say we have about 5 posters.
-What are some creative hunger awareness campaigns you've seen? (links to official sites are very helpful!)
-Do you have a creative idea for a campaign? I'd like to hear it!
-How would you incorporate photography into this project as a whole? (it does need to involve photography to some extent)
Things I can't do:
-Take pictures that aren't in my immediate area. The project is for local poverty and hunger, not worldwide.
-
I cannot have pictures that show someone that is starving or someone that is in a severe hunger situation. It's against school rules because it may offend students.
Here's to a less sucky world! DFTBA!
