I am looking for gift ideas.

Hi guys I am not really into this whole nerdfighter society but.

I have a very excellent friend. She and I are cut from the same cloth. And she is part of this nerdfighter business... last I checked. At any rate, it is her birthday soon. We met over the internet and we're both teenagers and I'm poor so I was never able to send her birthday gifts. But this year I want to and am going to. Thing is, I need gift ideas!

I was planning on getting her some Doctor Who merchandise but decided against it based upon a conversation. So, my plans right now are:

- And excellent card (already have)

- A letter (will write)

- A CD with music (will create)

- A book I want her to read (selfish gift)

But this is all handmade stuff; I want something new and snazzy too. So I was wondering if any of you had suggestions?

It would help if you clued us more into her interests.  Right now all we really know about her is that she's not interested in Doctor Who merchandise.

In absence of this information, I recommend thinking about her interests and what you both share, and meditating on those things might give you some ideas...

Though I don't think you really need them.  Some of my most cherished gifts from friends are hand-written letters and deeply personal things, including a cheesy little comic my friend wrote about us, a mix CD, and just the sort of book that you've described.  Your current package sounds more than sufficient, and I'm positive that your friend will love whatever you send.

Are you able to access your school's art room, you can make a pottery gift.  or an Ornament of some sort.  It will be one of a kind and you can engrave her name on it.
