Hello Nerdfighteria! I am relatively new to this so keep me on track! But I know how astoundingly brilliant the combined brainpower of nerdfighters is, so I kinda need your help.
So my cousin is sick with cancer. Like REALLY sick. Like, there's nothing else UK doctors can do for her. She was only 16 when she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphona, and she just turned 20. She's a brilliant brilliant girl, and even though you hear this all the time, she is so so brave.
But the reality is, this could kill her. But we don't want to lose her. So all of us cousins have set up a charity to raise funds for the possible eventuality of her going to America to receive new and unique treatment there that we don't have in Scotland. We've just started, and already I've realised how generous people can be - after all, everyone has been affected by cancer in some way, so they're sympathetic.
However, on the ideas front, we're dry. I want to do something fresh and exciting and interesting and engaging but my mind is as imaginative as a brussel sprout. So I turn to you, faithful nerdfighters. Have you got any ideas we could use for fundraising? Anything that you yourself have done and has been successful? Anything that you've always thought would be an absolutely fabulous fundraiser but you've had no opportunity to do it? Lemme know! Our target is £200,000, and I'm trying to convince my Mum to sell wristbands like the TSWGO ones on our website that you guys could buy and wear with pride.
Thank you in advance guys, I'm excited to hear your ideas!
Merci beaucoup, love Hannah xxx
