I once wished I could be like Alaska Young. I like how impulsive she is. I like how much she does not care, but when she does care, she cares with all her heart. I like her reckless abandonment and I like her love of books.
I've always dreamt of being the character in some one's book. Who would you be?

Permalink Reply by Anisa Cooprider on January 2, 2012 at 10:24pm I always wish I could be a character in a book. Particularly one of John Green's books. But I can never decide on one for sure. My two favorites are Tiny Cooper from Will Grayson, Will Grayson. Because of his creativity, and his powerful emotions, and because he's just fantastic. I'd also like to be Luna Lovegood. For her detachment and loyalty, intelligence and most of all her extreme belief in things even when they cannot be proven to her. I'd like to be able to have that much faith. I love this discussion idea!

Permalink Reply by Darta Noir on January 3, 2012 at 6:45am Haterz gonna h8, BUT I've always wanted to be Hermione. She is so smart and courageous, yet witty. I love the fact that despite having all these amazing characteristics she is still... well you know... capable of human emotions. I've noticed that many authors make these potentially amazing characters, but they seem to lack human qualities.
Permalink Reply by Ishi-chan on January 3, 2012 at 9:49am I think Hermione is always a much loved choice though, because she is so intelligent and she's also just another teenage girl... wizard... thing. She likes boys, like the rest of us (well, most of us) and she likes to be pretty like the rest of us but I think people look away from that and only see her with her nose in a book.
Permalink Reply by Darta Noir on January 3, 2012 at 9:10am I'd get to contribute to killing one of the most evil wizards of all times. What's not to love about it? He's like the wizard equivalent of Hitler!
Permalink Reply by Steven Cook on January 3, 2012 at 10:03am I would like to be Perrin from the Wheel of Time series. He is a blacksmith that can communicate with wolves. All he wants as everything in his world is crashing in around him is to live a simple life and protect his family and friends. He has the power to communicate with the wolves but struggles with it because it is so very unusual.
Permalink Reply by Ishi-chan on January 3, 2012 at 10:04am I love wolves, I might have to give that series a go. Who's it by?
Permalink Reply by Steven Cook on January 3, 2012 at 11:08am It truly is an amazing series.

That is a link to the first book of the series, The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan.
Unfortunately he died before finishing the series, but there is hope. His wife is allowing Brandon Sanderson to write the last 2 books.
Permalink Reply by Rockccoli on January 3, 2012 at 11:53am Oh, that's such a difficult decision! However, if I have to pick just one and can't stick them into a soul melting chamber or something, I suppose I'll pick Casey from Venomous. He's got my style, he's hilarious and only partially insane! Him, or Leviathan's Will Grayson.
Permalink Reply by Ishi-chan on January 4, 2012 at 12:48pm I've never heard of Venomous. What's it about? :-)
Permalink Reply by x3LittleMrsGonzalez on January 4, 2012 at 12:50pm Holden Caulfield from The catcher in the rye... not quite sure why :)
