Permalink Reply by TigerwiseVillain on October 17, 2012 at 10:21am Depends on how it works. Do you turn totally transparent? Nice job, now all the food and shit in your digestive tract is floating around visibly. Do you bend light? Yeah, now you're blind. And what about sound? You're not any quieter, just because you can't be seen. And that's not even getting into what happens when you walk in water, or snow, or mud, or any substance at all that you can track around or leave an impression in. Hell, even the dust in the air would render you visible; you'd just look a bit like a ghost.
Now, if you were to have some kind of perception filter that makes you unnoticeable... That one has legs. Except that there's no guarantee it'll work through cameras.

Permalink Reply by Alex H on August 6, 2012 at 4:09am It's pretty uncreative and the most conspicuous superpower out there, but the Maximum Ride books always made me want to fly. I would hog TheGirlWithTheCurls's idea but I have the feeling it would entail some rather alarming side-effects O.o

Permalink Reply by TigerwiseVillain on October 17, 2012 at 10:23am Where's the fun in that?
Besides, anyone with that kind of power would just get carried away and get to be every bit as bad as whatever they set out to destroy. Conflict is the driving force of social progress and free thought. Take it away, and you might as well execute the lot of us.

Permalink Reply by Kat Dianne Lundgren on October 9, 2012 at 1:19am I would have to choose energy manipulation. The ability to manipulate and convert energy into heat, light, or sound. You could move, alter, or stop energy in anything (you, objects, others, space, etc.)
I feel that this ability would be extremely versatile in its uses, and it would be a renewable energy source, for the most part.
Permalink Reply by TigerwiseVillain on October 17, 2012 at 10:28am This one's actually pretty cool. If you turn kinetic energy into, say, light, and you could set it up as an automatic function at range, you could effectively make yourself immune to bullets and weapons, at the cost that you'd have to close your eyes or get your hands on a good set of welding goggles.
