Nerdfighters

This question came to my mind while I was watching the show The Price of Beauty by Jessica Simpson (there was nothing on the TV tonight)

It was showing what the world thinks of beauty in their culture and their beliefs.

My questions are:

Do you prefer inner or outer beauty? Why?

What is beautiful to you?

What is outer beauty without inner beauty?
I think its boring.
So inner beauty is the basic, outer beauty the bonus.
Wait would I be getting rid of all my inner beauty if I chose outer beauty and vice-versa? Or if I could just be me I would choose outer beauty, it sounds shallow but outer beauty you can't control while inner beauty you can truly work on as a human being, and I wouldn't just want to instantly be perfect.
That sounds perfectly understandable and that's what I would do.
I think, however shallow our society may be, most people would prefer inner beauty. I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with the most beautiful woman on earth if she was a terrible person. And if someone was a really beautiful person on the inside, I don't think I'd really care what they looked like -- I'd just like being with them.
Inner beauty is definately more important, but I think to go from friends to partners her outer beauty still needs to float my boat at least a little, otherwise I'd stay friends.

Beauty is difficult to define and is different for different people. What I find beautiful might not be beautiful for the next person. Furthermore, I don't think I have an outer beauty 'type' but I probably do get attacted to girls with similar personalities.
(cheesiness alert)
I think that, over time, their inner beauty becomes outer beauty as well. I mean to say, your personality can make you phisically attractive.
I think you would at first become attracted to someone for their looks, then, you get to know them and their inner beauty is what you care about. But, I think, for the most part, Outer Beauty is what people notice first. Of course, they don't have to be Super Model attractive, but more of a pleasure to the eye.

Sorry to sound so harsh
can i say both? I mean let's be honest. If I am not attracted to you... then I am not attracted to you.

Biologically speaking it's because my genetics predict what phenotypes would be compatible with my own phenotype.

Intellectually: it's because internally ugly people make me want to punch them in the face. Sometimes fun, but not a quality I am looking for in a life-time partner.
Obviously outer beauty does nothing but attract.

Inner beauty is what holds.

Does that sound like a Hallmark card?
+1!

Something I've found is that most of us became very beautiful internally once become honest with ourselves.

A tough fight that, but one that needs to be fought.
